About Denmark

Denmark (Danish: Danmark), officially named the Kingdom of Denmark, is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. It is the furthest south of the Scandinavian countries, to the south of Norway and south-west of Sweden. Denmark wins for its healthcare services, clean environment and affordable housing and living costs. CEOWORLD magazine has analyzed more than 70 countries around the world to determine which ones are the absolute best to live in for both business and life. It has mainly something to do with the high standard of living in this Nordic country that includes economic and gender equality and a very well developed welfare system. Denmark is a highly-developed nation, with some interesting traits:

  • One of the highest GDP/capital in the world – 58,000 EUR/year
  • Second place in Europe for air quality and environmental safety
  • One of the lowest crime rates in the world
  • Work week is 37 hours and employees are allowed to take 5 weeks of holiday/year

The Danes are generally well educated, well informed; yet at the same time enjoy a distinctly Danish informality. Most Danes also have a good command of English, so you will find it easy to live in Denmark even if you do not speak Danish. Denmark is a very safe and secure country with a low crime rate.
